"SWAN Lagos and WCFL Unite to Kick Off Exciting Football League, Promoting Unity and Community Development"
In a bid to foster positive change and community development through sports, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos State chapter, and the White Collar Football League (WCFL) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony, held at the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government secretariat in Ajegunle, Lagos, was graced by prominent figures including Dave Jones, President of WCFL, Debo Oshundun, Chairman of Lagos SWAN, and Oba Moroof Amodu-Tijani Oluwa, the Olu of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom. The core objective of the MoU is to utilize sports as a vehicle for promoting sportsmanship, unity, and community development. As part of the agreement, WCFL plans to launch a football league featuring 32 teams comprising both male and female players.
