"Delta King Surrenders: Breakthrough in Investigation of Soldiers' Killing"

Ikolo Clement, the King of Ewu kingdom and one of the suspects declared wanted by the Nigerian military in connection to the killing of 17 soldiers at Okuama Community, has surrendered himself to the authorities. Clement, who recently assumed the traditional rulership of Ewu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, was among the eight individuals declared wanted by the Nigerian Army Defence Headquarters.

Also sought by the military is a suspected militant leader identified as Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, alias Amagbein, whom soldiers tracked to the Igbomoturu community in Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. However, they missed apprehending him.

The list of wanted persons includes Prof Ekpekpo Arthur, the president-general of Ewu, and Reuben Baru, who gained notoriety after narrating the reasons behind the soldiers' killing in a viral video. Additionally, Igoli Ebi, believed to be the mother of one of the wanted individuals, is sought, along with Atata Malaw David and Sinclear Oliki, suspected associates of the Amagbein gang.

The surrender of Ikolo Clement marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the tragic incident at Okuama Community. Authorities continue their efforts to apprehend the remaining wanted individuals and bring them to justice for their alleged roles in the soldiers' killing.

The situation underscores the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the community in addressing security challenges and ensuring accountability for criminal activities. Further updates on the investigation are awaited as authorities work towards resolving the case and delivering justice to the victims and their families.
