In the early hours of Friday, a devastating fire broke out in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, Nigeria, engulfing a building containing 40 rooms. The blaze erupted at 02:40 a.m. at No E143, Ile Muse, off Emir’s road, within the Ilorin metropolis. Firefighters from the state fire service swiftly responded to the emergency, confronting the daunting challenge posed by the rapidly spreading flames. Despite the intensity of the inferno, the firefighters demonstrated exceptional training, skill, and unwavering dedication in their efforts to contain the blaze. After a grueling battle lasting approximately an hour, the firefighters successfully brought the fire under control at 03:42 hours, preventing further devastation and loss of life. However, the fire had already consumed nine rooms within the compound, leaving behind a trail of destruction. According to Hassan Adekunle, the spokesman for the state fire service in Ilorin, preliminary investigations revealed that the fire was ign
