Naira to Keep Strengthening Against Dollar - Vice-President Shettima

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has voiced confidence in the upward trajectory of the Naira against the Dollar, assuring that the Nigerian currency will continue to appreciate as the Dollar's value declines.

Shettima attributed this positive outlook to President Bola Tinubu's strategic decisions, including the cessation of fuel subsidies and the unification of multiple exchange rates, which aimed to curb overnight wealth accumulation.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Shettima emphasized Tinubu's leadership prowess, citing his transformative governance in Lagos as a testament to his visionary leadership.

Acknowledging the challenges in the power sector, Shettima underscored the administration's commitment to job creation and national development, highlighting Tinubu's dedication to leaving a lasting legacy of qualitative leadership.

In response, LCCI President Gabriel Idahosa presented recommendations aimed at fostering economic growth, urging the administration to implement policies that promote credit access, stimulate investment, and support entrepreneurship, particularly in key sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and technology.

Shettima affirmed the administration's alignment with these goals, pledging continued collaboration and support for initiatives aimed at propelling Nigeria's economic advancement.
