Man Stabbed to Death at Ogun Birthday Party; Three Arrested

A tragic incident unfolded at a birthday party in the Halleluyah Quarter of Ibafo, Ogun State, as a man identified as Abubakar was stabbed to death following an altercation with another attendee. The party, organized by Nafiu Yusuf to celebrate his daughter's first birthday, turned violent when an argument escalated into a fatal confrontation. Three individuals have been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command in connection with the incident.

The fatal incident occurred on Friday night during the birthday party organized by Nafiu Yusuf in the Halleluyah Quarter of Ibafo, Ogun State.

Abubakar, the victim, was involved in an argument with another attendee, leading to a physical altercation.

The altercation resulted in Abubakar being stabbed, leading to his untimely demise.

Three individuals have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in connection with the incident.

- Outside the Ibafo Police Station, a crowd gathered, including commercial motorcyclists and distraught relatives and friends of the deceased.

An eyewitness, speaking anonymously, revealed that the altercation was a continuation of a previous dispute between Abubakar and the suspect.

Another source confirmed that the altercation had occurred four days prior, and attempts were made to separate the parties involved.

Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident as a suspected case of murder.

However, the altercation reportedly escalated due to intoxication, possibly from alcohol, highlighting the dangers of alcohol-fueled confrontations. The deceased's body has been deposited at the hospital for autopsy, and investigations are ongoing.

The Ogun State Police Command emphasized the need for anger management, temperament control, and emotional intelligence to prevent such tragic incidents.
