In a coordinated effort, troops from Operation Hadin Kai, along with the Hybrid Force and Civilian Joint Task Force, neutralized three Boko Haram terrorists, including the notorious commander Abu Rajab. The operation, which occurred in the Bula Daloje area of Bama Local Government Area in Borno State, targeted a key terrorist camp within the Sambisa Forest.
The mission was met with resistance from insurgents who ambushed the troops, triggering a fierce gunbattle. Despite this, the troops successfully overpowered the terrorists, killing several and forcing others to retreat. Among the recovered items were two AK-47 rifles and a mobile phone.
Unfortunately, one member of the Hybrid Force was fatally injured during the operation. This achievement is a significant stride in the ongoing counter-insurgency campaign in the Lake Chad region.
