In a startling development, popular DJ Obianuju Catherine Udeh, widely known as DJ Switch, has been apprehended by the police in Lagos. Currently en route to the magistrate court in Eti-Osa, DJ Switch's arrest follows a series of events stemming from her visit to the police in Elemoro, Ajah, on Monday, April 15.
According to a police source cited by LIB, DJ Switch lodged a complaint regarding a man accused of defrauding her during her visit to the police station. Subsequently, the accused was promptly arrested and held in police custody.
In a turn of events, DJ Switch was summoned on April 17 to clarify her intentions regarding the accused's fate. Allegedly, she expressed her desire for the accused to issue a public apology, which he adamantly refused. With both parties at an impasse, the police decided to escalate the matter to court.
However, tensions flared as DJ Switch purportedly used her vehicle to obstruct the police officers' exit from the station. The situation escalated further when she allegedly assaulted female officers involved in the case. Consequently, DJ Switch was arrested on charges of obstructing police officers, resisting arrest, and assaulting police personnel.
As the legal proceedings unfold, DJ Switch is slated to appear before the Magistrate Court in Eti-Osa, where she will face charges related to the alleged offenses. The incident has sparked considerable attention and speculation, underscoring the importance of accountability and adherence to the law in such circumstances.
