Controversial figure Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has found himself sharing a cell with male inmates at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre following a six-month prison sentence for naira abuse. The verdict was handed down by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 12, 2024, with the intention of serving as a deterrent to others engaged in similar activities.

According to a top official from the facility who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Bobrisky underwent a thorough examination upon admission, which revealed no realignment of gender or genital organs. Despite Bobrisky's public declarations about his gender identity, the examination affirmed his male biological features.

Upon allocation of a cell, Bobrisky has been reportedly abiding by the rules and procedures of the custodial center, participating in activities such as classes, meal times, and lights-out without any special treatment. The official emphasized that Bobrisky is not receiving preferential treatment or protection against other inmates, as the facility strictly prohibits any form of abuse.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), Rotimi Oladokun, declined to comment on the matter when contacted.

In conclusion, despite his controversial status, Bobrisky is being treated like any other inmate at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre, following the protocols and regulations of the facility.
