The Kano State Police Command has arraigned one Rabi’u Halliru Tudun Yola before a Shari’a Court in Danbare for allegedly stabbing a young man in the chest with a pair of scissors.
The case, presided over by Judge Munzali Idris Gwadabe, followed a complaint filed by Kabiru Bello, who reported that the accused attacked his son, Isma’il Kabiru. The victim is currently receiving treatment at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
Court records show that when the charges were read, Rabi’u Halliru pleaded guilty. He was immediately ordered to be remanded in a correctional facility until September 23, pending the condition of the victim.
Incidents of violent clashes involving youths armed with sharp objects such as knives and scissors have been a recurring concern in Kano State, often leaving victims with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to curbing youth violence through intensified security patrols and community engagement.
