Gunmen Kidnap Plateau House of Assembly Member From His Home

 Armed men have kidnapped a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly from his residence in the Dong area of Jos North Local Government Area.

Eyewitnesses told reporters that the lawmaker was taken away late Monday night when gunmen stormed his home, shooting sporadically to scare residents before whisking him away to an undisclosed location.

The incident has thrown the community into panic, as residents fear a resurgence of violent attacks and abductions in parts of Plateau State.

Although security operatives were said to have arrived at the scene after the assailants had fled, details of the lawmaker’s whereabouts remain unknown.

As of the time of filing this report, the Plateau State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the abduction, and no group has claimed responsibility for the act.
