Gbamoyin of Jimba-Oja Congratulates Couples at Akaje Family Wedding



The Akaje family over the weekend hosted a distinguished gathering in Shagamu, Ogun State, to celebrate the marriage of their son, Muhammad Jamiu Andulwaheed, popularly known as AbuDaraini, to Yusuf Haneefat Ayomide. The occasion was marked by a blend of cultural pride, religious solemnity, and community goodwill, drawing traditional rulers, Islamic scholars, relatives, and well-wishers from far and near.

The Gbamoyin of Jimba-Oja, HRH Oba Adebayo Olanrewaju Jagungbade I, represented by Mr. Tajudeen Ajiboye, extended royal felicitations to the newlyweds. His goodwill message emphasised the values of patience, tolerance, and friendship as essential virtues for building a lasting home.

Also present was the Onisapati of Sapati Land, Oba Abdulfatahi, who prayed for the success of the union and wished the couple peace, joy, and prosperity throughout their marital journey.

From the spiritual leadership of the community, the Chief Imam of Jimba-Oja, Sheikh Abubakar Abdulqadir, represented by the Mufasir of Jimba-Oja, Andulwaheed Abduraheem Hibatullahi, delivered a charge to the couple, encouraging them to anchor their new life on prayer, harmony, and mutual respect.

The groom, an Islamic scholar, expressed joy at the union, describing the day as a significant milestone in his life. He acknowledged the support of family, friends, and community members whose presence added meaning to the celebration.

For her part, the bride radiated excitement, describing the day as one of fulfilment and gratitude. She expressed appreciation for the love and support shown by those who witnessed the occasion.

In his fatherly counsel, Sheikh Muhammad Jamiu Akaje, the groom’s father, urged the couple to uphold love, respect, and understanding as guiding principles in their marriage, reminding them that the strength of a union lies in partnership and friendship.
