Speaking during a meeting with Nigerians in Brazil, Tinubu said his administration is committed to reforms that will transform the economy and empower citizens. “We must bring Nigeria to the forefront of Africa’s progress, driven by technology, food sovereignty, and the courage to change our destiny,” he declared.
He acknowledged the hardship caused by ongoing reforms but likened them to “bitter medicine” needed for long-term stability. He urged Nigerians at home and abroad to unite, innovate, and contribute to rebuilding the nation.
The President praised the Nigerian diaspora in Brazil for their growing role in education and development, noting the surge of postgraduate scholars as a sign of progress. He also pledged stronger bilateral ties with Brazil to boost trade, technology, and cultural exchange.
House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and other top officials on the delegation hailed Tinubu’s economic policies, stressing that Nigeria is now more attractive to investors following forex reforms and improved transparency.
