United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Lagos, Injuring 38

A United Airlines flight, UA613, made an emergency landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, injuring 38 people, including four passengers and two crew members who sustained serious injuries.

The Boeing 787-8 flight, carrying 245 passengers and 11 crew members, departed Lagos en route to Washington Dulles International Airport but returned to Lagos due to an unspecified fault.

The injured passengers were transported to nearby clinics and hospitals for treatment. Aviation medical ambulances and rescue teams responded swiftly to the incident.

Passengers with minor injuries received first aid and were discharged, while those with serious injuries were stabilised and transferred to the Duchess Hospital in Ikeja.
