Ekiti State stands out for its calm and peaceful atmosphere amidst the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests. House of Representatives member from Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, attributes this tranquility to Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s inclusive leadership and consistent engagement with critical stakeholders since he assumed office nearly two years ago.
Hon. Kolawole, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighted that Governor Oyebanji’s leadership style, characterized by inclusivity and open communication, has played a crucial role in maintaining peace and order in Ekiti. This approach has prevented the state from joining the widespread hunger protests that have gripped other parts of Nigeria.
“The Governor’s leadership style and performance as a Servant, not Dictator or Ruler, has endeared him to Ekiti People irrespective of political or religious affiliations,” Kolawole stated.
Kolawole assured that the APC Government remains committed to implementing policies that promote the well-being and development of Nigeria. He emphasized the need for patience and support for the APC’s plans, which aim to bring comprehensive development across the country.
Kolawole expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to improve the country's economic situation, urging citizens to maintain peace and continue supporting the government’s efforts. He also called for more prayers and support for Nigerian leaders to guide the nation effectively.
The Federal Lawmaker commended the people of Ekiti for their peaceful conduct before and during the protests. He noted that this behavior reflects the public’s appreciation of Governor Oyebanji’s developmental efforts and his dedication to the state’s progress.
