The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Governor Ademola Adeleke and his siblings for their N1 billion donation to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Lagos. The donation was made in honor of the late matriarch of the Adeleke family, Esther Adeleke. The APC, through its chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, expressed concern over the donation, questioning the morality of such a large sum being given during a time of financial distress in Osun State.
Lawal noted that while the party is not opposed to religious donations, the timing raises concerns that the funds may have come from the state's resources, and he emphasized the need for greater decency and morality in such acts of charity.
