Nnamdi Kanu Insists IPOB Is Not a Terrorist Organisation, Obtains Court Order

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has called for an end to the classification of IPOB as a terrorist organization. This call was made through his legal team, which issued a stern warning to the public, organizations, media houses, and the government to stop referring to the group as a terrorist organization.
The legal team emphasized that any further reference to IPOB as a terrorist organization would be met with legal action.

The warning comes in the wake of a court judgment that declared the proscription of IPOB as a terrorist group by President Buhari as illegal, discriminatory, and unconstitutional. The legal team, having obtained a court order, has threatened to sue anyone found culpable of disobedience to the order.

The statement signed by Aloy Ejimakor, Esq., on behalf of Nnamdi Kanu's legal team, highlighted the firm instructions from Kanu to issue the final warning to all persons and institutions still referring to IPOB as a terrorist organization. The group demanded that the general public, Presidency, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police, and any erring media houses should cease from attaching such defamatory and prejudicial labels to IPOB.

This development underscores the ongoing legal and political tensions surrounding the classification of IPOB and its implications for the group's activities and international relations.
