"NSCDC Bolsters Security: 40,000 Personnel Deployed Nationwide for Eid-El-Fitr Festivities"

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety and security of citizens during the upcoming Eid-El-Fitr celebration by deploying over 40,000 personnel across the country. This significant deployment comes as part of the Corps' commitment to safeguarding lives, property, and critical national assets, especially during festive periods characterized by increased social activities.

In a statement issued by NSCDC spokesperson, Babawale Afolabi, on Monday, it was revealed that the strategic deployment of personnel will employ a combination of kinetic and non-kinetic approaches. This multi-faceted approach aims to preemptively address and neutralize any potential security threats that may arise before, during, and after the Eid-El-Fitr festivities.

Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Audi emphasized the importance of these measures in ensuring a peaceful and secure celebration for all Nigerians. He extended heartfelt Eid greetings to Muslims across the nation, expressing confidence that the festivities will proceed smoothly under the watchful eye of the NSCDC.

Furthermore, state Commandants have been directed to deploy their personnel to strategic locations and flashpoints, with an emphasis on collaborative efforts with other security agencies. This collaborative approach seeks to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in maintaining law and order during the Eid-El-Fitr period.

Dr. Audi underscored the significance of reflecting on the spiritual and moral lessons of Ramadan, emphasizing values such as compassion, unity, and mutual respect for the dignity of all individuals. As Muslims prepare to celebrate the conclusion of Ramadan and the joyous occasion of Eid-El-Fitr, the NSCDC remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.

As part of its mission to serve and protect, the NSCDC continues to implement proactive measures to mitigate potential security risks and uphold public safety during festive occasions and beyond.
