"EFCC Shuts Down Rumors: No Blocking of Charges Against Binance Chief"

"The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) responded to a news report alleging that it had stopped the service of charges on the Binance Chief. EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, dismissed the report as untrue and misleading, emphasizing that it was removed from the facts presented before the court. Oyewale clarified that at no point did a court bailiff approach the EFCC to serve any of the Binance executives in its custody with a charge. During the last court session, Moses Ideh, counsel to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), did not raise such a complaint before the court; instead, he informed the court that the service was yet to serve the defendants. The EFCC labeled the news item as preposterous and embarrassing, urging the public to entirely disregard it."
