The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has initiated an inquiry into the actions of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for purportedly engaging in the act of spraying Naira notes. Operatives from the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC have commenced investigations into the matter.
The investigation stems from a video report capturing Bobrisky flaunting wads of freshly minted Naira notes at the premiere of a movie titled "Ajakaju," which was produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao. The premiere took place at the Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.
Subsequent findings by the EFCC revealed that Bobrisky had allegedly committed similar acts of currency spraying at various other event venues and parties on different occasions.
In response to the EFCC's invitation, the 31-year-old personality appeared at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024, for interrogation. During the session, Bobrisky voluntarily provided statements to the EFCC.
Upon the conclusion of the investigation, Bobrisky is expected to be charged to court to answer for his alleged actions.
