"Power Outage Plunges Abuja into Darkness: AEDC Races to Restore Electricity Amidst Technical Fault on 33kV Feeder"


Electricity consumers in certain parts of Abuja are currently experiencing a power outage due to a technical fault on the 33-kilovolt feeder situated in the Central Area of the nation's capital. This development was disclosed by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) through an official notice released on Tuesday.


According to the notice, the areas affected by the power outage include Dakibiyu, Kado Estate, a portion of Life Camp, Efab Estate in Life Camp, and surrounding environs. The AEDC assured affected consumers that its technical team is diligently working to rectify the issue and restore electricity supply to the impacted areas.


In the statement issued by AEDC, they expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and extended gratitude to customers for their patience during this challenging period. Furthermore, the company highlighted that power supply has already been restored to Kapwa Village, Kapwa Ruga, Legislative Institute, Piwoyi Village, and the Back of Dunamis in Abuja, which had earlier experienced an outage.


Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing power restoration efforts, former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has expressed profound appreciation to Nigerians from various walks of life for their unwavering prayers and support.
