NAF Airstrikes Decimate Terrorists' Hideouts in Kaduna and Zamfara, Eliminating Key Threats

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully executed multiple airstrikes, targeting and eliminating several terrorists across Kaduna and Zamfara states. These operations were part of the ongoing Operation Whirl Punch, designed to combat insurgency and terrorism across the northern regions of Nigeria.

According to Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of NAF Public Relations and Information, the terrorists' hideouts were struck in Malum Forest, located in the Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, and at Bayan Ruwa in the Maradun LGA of Zamfara State. These terrorist cells were identified as being responsible for recent attacks within Shiroro LGA in Niger State, an area that has witnessed escalations of violence in recent weeks.

Gabkwet noted that the airstrikes in both Malum Forest and Bayan Ruwa were conducted with precision, successfully neutralizing the targets and inflicting significant damage on the terrorists' infrastructure and weaponry.

The air force's efforts have received commendation from security experts, who praised the targeted operations for their impact on disrupting terrorist activities across the affected regions. The operations were a part of a broader, coordinated effort by the Nigerian military to restore stability in areas plagued by banditry and insurgency.

These recent successes serve as a major boost in the fight against terrorism, as the Nigerian government continues its efforts to enhance security and safeguard the lives and property of its citizens.
