Sanwo-Olu Vows to Bring Abductors of Fouani Brothers to Justice

In a strong statement, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has declared that those responsible for the abduction of the three Fouani brothers will face the full force of the law. He made this commitment during a meeting with Israel Akanji, the president of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), and his delegation at the Lagos house in Ikeja.

On June 14, Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani, and Amtal Fouani were kidnapped in Lagos. The Fouani brothers are known for their expertise in electronics and are the sole distributors of renowned brands like LG, Hisense, and Maxi in Nigeria. The brothers were reportedly abducted while returning from their factory by boat.

Fortunately, on Tuesday, the Lagos police command announced that its operatives had successfully rescued the abducted Fouani brothers. This news was met with great relief and joy.

During the meeting with NBC leadership, Governor Sanwo-Olu reassured residents and visitors that the government is fully committed to ensuring the safety and attractiveness of the state. He emphasized that the state government would spare no effort in apprehending the abductors of the three Lebanese brothers.

Contrary to initial reports, the governor clarified that the kidnapping took place on the waterways to Ikorodu, not around the Five Cowry axis in Falomo. He stressed that the security of life and property is of paramount importance and that the government is leaving no stone unturned in its pursuit of justice.

Governor Sanwo-Olu added, "We have useful information to ensure that the perpetrators of this act are not going to be spared. We will do everything in our power to ensure that they do not find a safe haven in our city and state. Lagos will continue to remain safe and peaceful."

He also addressed concerns about security during the upcoming annual Baptist World Alliance, which will be hosted by Nigeria for the first time in over a century. The governor assured international visitors that the Lagos state government would provide additional security in and around the hotel environment, ensuring a safe and hospitable experience for all attendees.

In conclusion, Governor Sanwo-Olu's firm stance against the abductors of the Fouani brothers sends a strong signal that Lagos will not tolerate such criminal acts. The security forces are diligently combing the necessary areas, and the government is determined to bring the perpetrators to justice.
