Governor Yusuf finds it deeply troubling that individuals engaged in the illicit drug trade have successfully procured court orders for the release of their seized contraband. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the judiciary and the government to prevent drug traffickers from exploiting legal loopholes.
Governor Yusuf has instructed the state's Attorney General to develop a comprehensive strategy to prevent drug traffickers from exploiting legal loopholes. He stressed the need for a unified effort between the judiciary and the government to shield the state from the dangers posed by drug trafficking. The governor also urged the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) to take necessary actions to destroy the confiscated substances and commended their diligence in combating drug smuggling within the state.

The United States Government has also condemned the attack and described it as horrific. In a statement issued by its Mission in Nigeria, the United States reiterated its commitment to collaborate with the Nigerian government to defeat terrorism and bring the perpetrators of the heinous acts to justice. The United States offered its deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wished a full recovery to the injured.
