"JAMB Releases 2024 UTME Results: Over 1.94 Million Candidates Participate, Check Your Score Now!"

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, announced the release during a press conference held at the board's headquarters in Bwari, Abuja. This year's UTME witnessed a significant turnout, with a staggering 1.94 million candidates participating in the examination. The examination was conducted across 118 towns and over 700 centres nationwide, spanning from Friday, April 19th, to Monday, April 29th, 2024.

During the press conference, Prof. Oloyede provided detailed statistics regarding the results:

- The number of results withheld by JAMB amounts to 64,624.

- A total of 8,401 candidates scored 300 and above in the examination.

- Additionally, 77,070 candidates achieved scores of 250 and above.

- Furthermore, 439,974 candidates obtained scores of 200 and above.

- However, a majority of 1,402,490 candidates scored below 200 in the examination.

To enable candidates to access their results conveniently, JAMB has provided a simple method: candidates can check their results via SMS by sending "UTMERESULT" to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they registered with. It is important for candidates to ensure that their phone lines are recharged with at least 50 Naira, as a service fee will be deducted by JAMB for the result-checking process. Candidates are advised to commence checking their results starting from April 30, 2024.
