In a somber announcement, it has been revealed that Mama Ena Maud Alabi, the mother of Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi, has passed away. Mama Ena, a Jamaican-born Nigerian citizen by both birth and marriage, breathed her last in the early hours of Friday at the remarkable age of 98.
Her professional journey was marked by decades of impactful service as a senior matron at the Maternity Hospital, Amilegbe, Ilorin. Mama Ena's dedication as a health service provider and caregiver left an indelible mark on her community, touching the lives of many.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, paid tribute to Mama Ena as a humanist par excellence, praising her for her selfless contributions to society. He conveyed his deepest sympathies to Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi and his siblings, acknowledging the profound loss of a devoted mother.
