"JAMB's Exclusive Offer: Update Your UTME 2024 Journey with Name Changes – Just.....

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made a significant announcement regarding the process and cost associated with changing names for candidates registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 2024. In response to an enquiry made by a candidate named Kamdili on April 7, JAMB disclosed that candidates seeking to make amendments to their names after registration would be required to pay a fee of N2,500.

This announcement underscores the importance for candidates to carefully consider their options before proceeding with any changes to their names, as JAMB explicitly stated that corrections would not be permitted after the registration process has been completed. This directive aims to streamline the registration process and minimize potential disruptions or discrepancies during the examination period.

In addition to announcing the fee for name changes, JAMB also provided important updates regarding the registration process for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) candidates. The board extended the registration deadline for DE candidates to April 25, 2024, offering them an extended window of opportunity to complete their registration procedures.

Furthermore, JAMB emphasized the necessity for candidates to address any discrepancies in their O'level results before registering for the exams. Candidates were advised to rectify such issues either through the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) portal or by directly contacting the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). This proactive approach ensures that candidates' academic records are accurate and up-to-date, thus facilitating a smooth registration and examination process.

As the UTME 2024 registration process progresses, candidates are reminded to meticulously review their registration details and make any necessary corrections within the specified timelines to avoid complications or delays during the examination period. By adhering to the guidelines provided by JAMB and proactively addressing any issues, candidates can ensure a seamless and successful registration experience.
