"Urgent Appeal: IPOB Demands Release of Ailing Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Amid Health Crisis"

IPOB has Called for Immediate Release of Nnamdi Kanu Due to Deteriorating Health Conditions

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has intensified its campaign for the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, on grounds of his rapidly deteriorating health while in detention. In a statement issued by IPOB's spokesman, Emma Powerful, the group raised alarm over Kanu's worsening health condition during his prolonged detention, spanning nearly three years in Abuja.

According to Powerful, Kanu's health has deteriorated significantly within the confines of the Department of State Services (DSS) facilities, where he has been held in solitary confinement. Allegations suggest that the DSS lacks the necessary medical infrastructure to adequately address Kanu's complex health issues. Moreover, IPOB claims that experimental drugs and practices have been employed by the authorities, exacerbating rather than ameliorating his health concerns.

Despite the Abuja Appeal Court's decision to discharge and acquit Kanu, the Federal Government has continued to detain him, sparking outrage and mounting fears for his well-being. IPOB accuses the government of using the legal system to unjustly prolong Kanu's detention, denying him access to essential medical care in the process.

Emma Powerful further warns of severe repercussions for any individual or entity involved in the continued persecution of Nnamdi Kanu. He asserts that Kanu, in IPOB's view, has committed no crime and should be released immediately to access proper medical attention.

The situation surrounding Nnamdi Kanu's detention has reignited tensions in the region, with IPOB vowing to escalate its efforts until their leader is freed. As concerns grow over Kanu's health, the demand for his release has become increasingly urgent, drawing attention from both national and international communities.
